Therapy is a process rooted in self-care, patience, and compassion. I have experience with individuals of many diverse populations across the lifespan and my training experience has focused on cultural diversity in health psychology, along with conceptualizing how the mind/body connection can inform our behaviors, psychological processes, and worldviews. My approach to therapy is collaborative and creative in nature. I work from a solution-focused and biopsychosocial lens, integrating interventions that are tailored to each client. This approach assists in guiding each client toward increased awareness of emotions and life experiences that may contribute to their current situation. I hope to provide a comfortable, direct, empathic, culturally sensitive and secure environment for you to hone in on your strengths while reaching your therapeutic goals.

Many of us seek therapy when we feel stuck, overwhelmed, or even broken. I strive to honor how intimidating and vulnerable it is to ask for help through creating a safe, compassionate, and collaborative environment where you can feel seen and heard. As a therapist who provides culturally sensitive and trauma-informed care, I believe it is important to explore how your cultural background, early family relationships, and life experiences have impacted you, your emotions, and your relationships. Together in therapy, we can foster your self-growth and healing through learning new ways of relating to yourself and others. I draw from a variety of approaches to fit the needs of my clients, including psychodynamic, attachment-based and mindfulness and self-compassion. I have experience in addressing depression, anxiety, grief, trauma, attachment issues, perfectionism, family/relationship, and cultural issues.
